About Amina Ahmady

She has held multiple high-ranking positions within Afghanistan’s Ministry of Finance, including Director-General of the Afghanistan Customs Department and Director-General of the Afghanistan Revenue Department, where she led transformative reforms in revenue collection, taxation, and customs operations.

With deep expertise in policy development, entrepreneurship, and financial systems, Amina has been instrumental in supporting newcomers—particularly women—in re-entering the business sector and achieving economic independence. As Executive Director of the Development of Innovative Business Association (DIBA), she is committed to guiding aspiring entrepreneurs, providing mentorship, and fostering sustainable business growth within diverse communities.

Beyond her leadership in the nonprofit and public sectors, Amina is also a successful entrepreneur. She has established businesses both inside and outside Canada, creating job opportunities and contributing to economic development. Since 2022, she has operated a registered business in Albania, employing and empowering many women. In 2023, she expanded her entrepreneurial ventures to Canada, further supporting economic integration.
